If i could rewrite something in my book it would be that the kid from Ohio didn't die and he would come back from the army and he would be a hero to his home town. Then he would marry the girl he likes cause she thinks he is cool and all because he was in the army and was a hero. They would have a bunch of little munchkins and they would live happily ever after. The other part i would change is the boy from Germany would get shot by a bazooka when he was fighting on the hill side with the Americans.
What i have read from Tuesday is: The boy from Ohio was fighting the Germans on the hill side in some town and they were hidding in their fox holes waiting for the Germans and when they came threw the woods and the Americans began shooting at the Germans and they started to pull back. They started too shoot at the German tanks and the tanks pulled back because they were getting short on them. The Americans made them go back into the woods but they shot a lot of Germans and there was blood everywhere. The wounded Germans were laying in the snow and their medics came out to help them and one of the young men that was shooting at them shot one of the German medics in the head. The boy from Ohio went to go help a German because he was hurt and when he got over to help him a bunch of German soldiers shot the American boy and killed him. The boy from Germany got shot and he was in the hospital and he heard that an American got shot because he was trying to take the German guy prisoner but he was really trying to help. When the Ohio boys body got back to his home town they had a memorial for him and everyone in town came to it.

I am going to give a brief summery of what I have read so far in my book. After i do that i will have three questions that i would like to find out in my book.
What i have read so far is, there is two kids one is from Germany and one is from America. They are both in the army for their country. The kid from Germany is already in a base camp training for the army. He is with a group of kids around his age and they all want to go fight in the war against America at Pearl Harbor. The leaders of the German kids training are 18 and 19 they have already went through basic training so now they have to get the smaller kids ready for the army. The kid from America wants to join the army he is 16 and he wants to quit school and join the paratroopers. His brother is in the Navy but he doesn't get to do anything tho. He finally got his dad to sign the papers and he took the test to see if he is smart enough to join the paratroopers. He quit school and he wants to join the army to impress a girl he likes but he doesn't admit it. He finally turned 17 and he is shipped off to basic training.
1. Will these two boys fight each other in the war?
2. Will the boy from America come back to his home town and marry the girl he likes.
3. Will they both end up getting killed right off the bat.

The first setting in this book is in Germany at a base camp for kids who are training for the army. The characters are at a little lake and they are swimming during on of there brakes from training. The second setting is in Ohio at a school and then at one of the characters house.

Soldier Boys
Give a physical description as well as a description of each character's personality. Does the author use a direct or indirect method of revealing the character?
I am reading the book, "Soldier Boys," is written by Dean Hughes. This book is about the war against Japan, Germany, and The USA. It talks about kids from each country the first character is a boy from Germany and he is 11. He is in a troop of young soldiers and they are training to go fight in the war with The United States. He is trying to fit in with the older boys in his troop because the leaders of the troop are 15 and 16. It also talks about a boy in the United States and he is playing catch in the yard when he hears about the Japanese attacking Purel Harbor. His brother joined the navy and he is on a ship in San Diego loading things onto the ship and other ships he is upset about that. This kid is 15 and he is at school one day and everyone is talking about Purel Harbor and how the war could go on for a long time. He wants to join the army to impress this one girl in his class but he doesn't admit it. He goes to the recruiter and gets papers when his parents don't know about it and he has to go talk it over with his dad.
